Dump Truck Operator Snyder's Excavation
LLC 3110
Dairy Drive, Madison, WI 53718 Dump truck driver is responsible for transporting loose materials such as sand, gravel, dirt, or construction supplies to and from various locations. Here are some key duties and responsibilities: Operating the dump truck : Safely driving and operating the truck to transport materials. Loading and unloading : Supervising the loading of materials and using cranks and levers to unload them. Inspection and maintenance : Regularly inspecting the truck for mechanical issues and performing basic maintenance tasks like checking oil, gas, water levels, and greasing the truck. Safety compliance : Adhering to all safety rules and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Record-keeping :
Maintaining accurate logs of driving hours, distances traveled, and vehicle repair status1.
Requirements :
Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL). High school diploma or GED. Proven experience operating a dump truck. Knowledge of construction site safety and road safety regulations Clearing House Registration Clean Driving Record Maintaining quad axle dump truck. Hauling materials to customers and job sites Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. Check all load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy. Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes. Drive trucks with capacities greater than 3 tons, to transport and deliver products. Inspect loads to ensure that cargo is secure. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
