Job Description

Description This position is for a Manual Mill Machinist where the position will require them to read and interpret blueprints, setting up the machine with the appropriate fixtures and jigs and then run their machine ensuring parts are within specification. Responsibilities include Programs Bridgeport Milling Machine using Proto Trac MX2 Control Plans and performs a wide variety of diversified close tolerance milling operations; setups are exacting but not usually difficult Uses ordinary dividing head and other attachments Selects speeds, feeds and tooling for a normal range of standard operations Studies blueprints or layout on workpiece to determine sequence of operations and finished dimensions of workpiece Lifts and positions workpiece on machine table and secures it Mounts milling cutter in spindle, and positions cutter and workpiece in relation to each other Verifies alignment of workpiece Turns valve handle to start of coolant or lubricant on work area, starts machine, and engages automatic feed Mounts different tool in place of cutter and performs other operations such as drilling and boring Uses ordinary dividing head and other attachments Skills Manual Machinist, Bridgeport, Blueprint, Pro Trac, Bridgeport Mill, Manual Mill, Manual Milling, Engineering Drawing, Proto Trac MX2, Set Up, Setup, Machine Shop, Machine Shop Math Top Skills Details Manual Machinist,Bridgeport,Blueprint,Pro Trac Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or Technical School preferred but not required. Experience Level Intermediate Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
