BASIC JOB FUNCTION

Perform maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools while using a high degree of independent judgment. Responsible for service documentation, training of lower level technicians, demonstration of equipment for customer use, when necessary is able to accurately order needed parts from vendors and occasional travel to customer site.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or trade school certificate
• 5 years' experience of repairing and maintaining vehicles and equipment preferred
• Valid Driver's License

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES - KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Highly developed mechanical background with various engines. Extensive knowledge of construction equipment, advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams. Must own tools required to perform job. Exhibit strong teamwork, written and verbal communications skills.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct equipment maintenance and repairs
• Conduct equipment functionality, use, and safety tests
• Training of lower level mechanics

ADDITIONAL JOB RELATED INFORMATION

Basic knowledge and use of office equipment and PC skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work environment is consistent with that of construction equipment yard and repair shop. Safety training and PPE is required. Occasional lifting up to 75 lbs. Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time with frequent bending and stooping. Some overtime will be required.
