Monday•Saturday Summary Elevate Dentistry, a new dental practice opening in February 2025 in the heart of Houston, Texas, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our founding team. As the Lead RDA, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our clinical procedures. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the dental assisting team, providing expert chairside assistance during patient procedures, and ensuring a positive patient experience. This leadership position is ideal for someone who is passionate about dentistry, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and possesses exceptional organizational, leadership, and patient interaction abilities. The Lead RDA will serve as a cornerstone of our practice, setting the tone for excellence, teamwork, and innovation. Key Responsibilities Leadership and Team Management Oversee and mentor the dental assisting team, ensuring high performance and adherence to clinical protocols. Facilitate onboarding and training for new dental assistants. Collaborate with the dentist and office manager to improve clinical workflows and optimize patient care. Clinical Excellence Provide expert chairside assistance during routine and complex procedures. Prepare patients for treatment with professionalism and care. Capture and develop high-quality radiographs. Maintain a rigorous sterilization protocol for instruments. Demonstrate proficiency in advanced dental technologies, including CBCT systems, intraoral scanners, and other cutting-edge tools. Practice Development Shape a positive and thriving office culture from its inception. Foster an environment of collaboration, excellence, and growth. Contribute to the establishment of clinical policies and best practices. Administrative Support Assist with scheduling patient appointments and managing patient records. Monitor inventory and manage ordering of dental supplies. Support billing and insurance processing as needed.Minimum Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Must hold a current Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification. Completion of a dental assisting program from an accredited institution is preferred but not required.Licensure:
Current Texas dental assisting license.Experience:
At least three (4) years of experience as a Registered Dental Assistant in a dental practice. Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is highly preferred.Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of dental hygiene principles, practices, and techniques. Familiarity with infection control protocols, HIPAA regulations, and dental practice management software.Skills:
Exceptional attention to detail and precision in all aspects of dental assisting. Highly organized, with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at fostering teamwork and building strong patient relationships. Skilled in managing dental instruments, assisting in complex procedures, and utilizing advanced dental technologies.
