Medical Retina Billing Coordinator 2.5 2.5 out of 5 stars Carmel, IN 46032 Job Description Center for Sight is seeking a full time Medical Retina Billing Coordinator to join our team! Center for Sight is a comprehensive Ophthalmology practice that focuses on patient care with the most advanced eye care technology. This addition to our team must be reliable, professional, and able to work in a fast-paced professional office. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Assist patients with billing and related insurance matters including communicating in regards to balances owed, financial issues, and facilitating collection of balances. Work closely with the staff on managed care and referral related issues. Coordinate the pre-certification process with clinical staff. Perform activities and respond to patient inquiries related to billing follow up. Prepare and submit medical claims using billing software. Prioritize and review denied insurance claims and resolve billing specified to unpaid claims. Post payments and balance unapplied payments from carrier remits, self-pay. Serve as point of contact for billing problem solving. Respond to inquiries from staff members regarding patient charges, coding, eligibility, and communicate with management to resolve billing disputes and escalations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in office administration or other related fields. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong problem solving skills. Knowledge of ICD 10, CPT, and J-codes for retina injections. Punctual Reliable Possess cooperative team approach Able to maintain a calm demeanor when assisting clients and insurers in resolving denials, appeals, or collections.Requirements:
High School graduate or equivalent Minimum 1-2 years ophthalmology billing required, retina experience preferred. Familiarity with claims and submission processes of insurance companies. Experience in medical billing, coding, prior authorizations, denials, and appeals. Knowledge of electronic medical records. Familiarity with standard billing codes and J-codes for services rendered.Job Benefits:
