JOB SUMMARY:
Provides technical assistance to computer users on any hardware and software applications. Responsibilities include problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow up. Responds to unresolved inquiries and complex problems.
II. TYPICAL DUTIES
Take Help Desk calls as needed to provide technical support for CCC employees. Follow up on closed and open work orders. Conduct research to find solutions for various IT-related issues, research new hardware and software products. Install hardware/software for the network and users. Provide technical support for system modifications and enhancements. Install and enhance current and new revisions of the operating system and utilities for end users. Provide training/consulting on the use of network hardware and related software applications. Install new hardware software, and upgrades, as required by the network and users. Monitor equipment performance, document problems, arrange and follow-up on hardware maintenance, etc. Travel to other jobsites for network setup and configuration, or maintenance.
III. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma. Experience should include a minimum of one year in a help desk / troubleshooting role.
IV. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES
Must be able to handle multiple tasks and rank by importance or priority in a fast, dynamic environment. Must have detailed knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office, Cisco VPN, Citrix, Groupwise and Outlook email systems, LAN / WAN, antivirus/anti-spyware software and work order systems. A working knowledge of Microsoft Intune and Autopilot is preferred.
V. WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed primarily indoors. Occasional motor vehicle and/or air travel.
VI. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Lifting and/ or exerting of force up to 75 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds lifting/force frequently. View and read information on computer screen for extended periods of time. Utilize telephone, personal computer and other technology equipment regularly and for extended periods requiring concentration and manual dexterity. Occasional climbing stairs, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and crouching. Occasional driving of motor vehicles.
