The Operations Specialist will assist in day-to-day operations of the PCEDC. This includes office management, board and committee coordination, support of proposal generation and maintaining various software systems. Daily activities require the efficient management of multiple tasks including scheduling, note taking, reporting, proposal response, monitoring project status, supporting market visits, and assisting in the project management process.
KEY ACTIVITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Organize the development of agendas and information for department meetings. Responsible for scheduling, set up, meeting minutes, assembling information and create presentations for various committee and board meetings. Ensuring availability and maintaining of office materials, CRM platforms and other activities Support the Executive Director with various tasks as assigned Assist in the preparation of professional responses and proposals to project inquiries Collaborate with local economic development professionals to execute an efficient and effective lead distribution and the client response process Assist in the execution of company and consultant market visits Represent the PCEDC on various boards & committees, and in other professional organizations as assigned
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
High School diploma, additional education and/or certifications is preferred Relevant experience in economic development, real estate, research, business or related field is desired, but not required Strong attention to detail Work effectively in a fast-paced team environment A self-starter with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines Professionalism and discretion in handling highly confidential matters is a requirement of this position The ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally is essential Strong and effective customer service skills Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office programs, Adobe Acrobat, and other CRM platforms
