  • $61k depending on experience Overview Bellwether Community Credit Union (BCCU) is seeking an experienced professional for the position of Loan Processing Supervisor.

The Job Responsible for supervising, organizing, planning, working and controlling the day-to-day operations of the Loan Processing Team members. Manages all consumer lending activities from receiving, reviewing, processing, funding and booking loans such as direct/indirect consumer loans, HELOCS, automobiles, manufactured homes, motorcycles, RVs, other off-road vehicles, unsecured open-end, unsecured closed-end, and Visa Credit Cards. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of our real estate and consumer lending policies and procedures. This is a working supervisory position requiring the funding and processing of loans daily. Key Priorities Include Effectively supervise the Loan Processing Team employees, including scheduling, performance reviews, training, coaching, and ensuring compliance with all regulations, BCCU polices and procedures. Manage the process to ensure that all loan files are complete and meet all quality control standards. Working along with the Loan Processing Team to ensure completion of daily tasks. This will include the ability to perform each task handled by Processing and actively working the various types of loan files and duties. Thorough understanding of real estate and consumer loan policies and procedures. Understands and complies with all applicable regulations. Manage the process for perfecting titles and the process for obtaining titles on the "Missing Title" report. Work with the Loan Support Specialist, Frontline and Dealer Relations Manager to ensure titles are being processed timely and correctly. Manage the process for collecting the indirect Smartfund contracts. Work with the Centralized Lending Team and The Dealer Relations Manager to ensure the timely receipt of original LAW contracts. Manage the funding process ensuring timeliness and accuracy. Actively manage the indirect fund delays ensuring timely follow-ups with positive, purposeful and productive contact with the dealerships. Work with the Dealer Relations Manager to assist with addressing funding concerns from the dealership. Problem solve and strategize to work toward solutions that provide outstanding customer service, that grow a healthy indirect portfolio and that are compliant with lending regulations and Bellwether's policies. Maintain, manage and update loan files on the loan origination software as they flow through the loan process from application to closing and funding. Manage the HELOC tracking and the Mobile Home Loan tracking and processing. Responsible for keeping the pipelines Reg Z, ECOA and HMDA compliant. Oversee and participate in the creation and accuracy of HELOC closing documents and timely HELOC fundings. Oversee the Mobile Home monthly closings. Work and manage the monthly withdrawn and declined files for both HELOCs and mobile home loans. Actively fund each product on a regular basis. Manage and maintain the document packages for HELOC applications, disclosures and closings. Responsible for updating and maintaining regulatory compliant documents in LOS and document creation software. Manage the answering of all paper and electronic credit disputes to meet FCRA and Metro 2 standards. Balance third party portfolio reports each month. Work with finance to resolve outstanding GL differences, funding errors and outstanding payments to third parties. Must meet registration requirements under the
SAFE ACT
to obtain appropriate federal and state registration and licensing. Qualifications Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills essential for working with coworkers, members and indirect partners to project a positive image as a representative of the Credit Union. Work requires extensive knowledge of most Credit Union products and services, excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivation and an ability to work independently. Work requires computer skills including, but not limited to, Windows, Word, Excel, and a thorough understanding of software utilized by BCCU. Required to be comfortable with using LOS software and various other lending systems. Daily trouble shooting and problem-solving skills to guide the Processing Team. The ability to strategize and work toward solutions that provide outstanding customer service, that grow a healthy loan portfolio and that are compliant with lending regulations and Bellwether's policies. Must have regulatory knowledge of requirements regarding consumer lending, real estate lending, answering credit disputes and perfecting liens. These characteristics are normally acquired through completion of a high school education plus an Associate degree in a related field. At least two years of experience with supervising staff, loan servicing, loan processing and/or underwriting in a lending department or branch office of a credit union or financial institution required.
