We specialize in locating and identifying underground utilities to ensure the safety and efficiency of construction and infrastructure projects across Sioux Falls and the surrounding areas. Join our team and become a crucial part of our mission to protect and enhance the communities we serve. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Utility Locator to join our team in Sioux Falls and surrounding areas of South Dakota. As a Utility Locator, you will be responsible for accurately identifying and marking the location of underground utilities such as communication, gas, water, sewer, and electrical lines. Your work will play a critical role in protecting of the infrastructure of your local and surrounding communities.

Responsibilities:

Use industry leading equipment and technology to locate and mark underground utilities. Collaborate with project managers and construction crews to ensure accurate utility information. Follow safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe work environment. Maintain accurate records and documentation of utility locations. Communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous utility locating experience is a plus but not required; we provide training. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to read maps and know directions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Pre-employment drug testing is required. Ability to walk an average of 5+ miles per day dependent on work load. Willingness to work in all types of weather conditions. Willing to work overtime as necessary.
