POSITION SUMMARY
The Recruiter will perform a wide variety of recruitment functions in the Human Resources Department. The Recruiter reports to the Recruitment Manager.SPECIFIC DUTIES
Obtains Request to Fill Position forms from Supervisors/Managers and obtains necessary signatures to open jobs. Posts and runs ads for vacant job positions in a timely manner. Screens resumes to verify if applicants meet the minimum requirements for the applicable open position. Screens job applicants over telephone and/or in person Provide Interview questions to hiring managers and assist to develop job specific and/or general interview questions to hiring managers. Arranges interview appointments with Supervisors/Managers Process pre-employment reference verifications Process background checks Schedules pre-employment physicals Prepare new hire documents. Coordinate new hire dates with applicable hiring Supervisors/Managers and Trainers Prepares new-hire packets and meets with and discusses new hire documents with new employees. Participates in new employee orientation with presentations on related human resources subjects. Logs and tracks employee physical examinations, performance evaluation forms, and other documents necessary for documentation Types employment recruitment letters Maintains employee database. Prepares employee hours to be paid using the time and attendance system. Calculates pay increases when pay increase is approved. Assists employees to understand payroll calculations and deductions, investigates problems and makes appropriate corrections. Handles requests for copies of personnel records and other pertinent data. Prepares all Personnel Actions Forms Files appropriate documentation in employee personnel files Assists in compiling statistical data and reports, as assigned. Reconcile recruitment invoices. Process end of employment documents and request final paychecks. Responds to correspondence within sphere of knowledge and distributes to appropriate individuals. Performs other duties as assigned.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED with 4 years of experience, AA degree with 2 years of experience, Bachelors degree with 1 year of experience, or Business Administration Human Resources Bachelors degree. Experience should be focused in Recruitment and Selection or general Human Resources administrative functions. Ability to word process at 50 wpm. Applicant to provide certificate. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Valid California driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and personal transportationKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of organization policies, procedures, and systems Knowledge of office management practices and techniques Knowledge of human resources record retention. Knowledge of federal and state employment laws Knowledge of personnel policies and procedures specific to job assignments Knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation to type from draft copy in English. Knowledge of payroll procedures Knowledge of basic mathematics to make calculations, balance and reconcile figures, and make changes accurately. Ability to review and edit reports and correspondence for accuracy and completeness. Skill in computer applications and 10-key Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive personnel information. Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to sort and file materials correctly by alphabetic or numeric systems. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public.TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to lift up-to 40 pounds. Must be able to hear staff on the phone and those who are served in person and speak clearly in order to communicate information to staff. Must have vision with or without lenses that is adequate to read memos, a computer screen, personnel forms, and other documents. Must have high manual dexterity for keyboarding. Must be able to reach above the shoulder level to work, must be able to bend, squat and sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, kneel, twist/turn, fingering and feeling.TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in an office environment within a clinic setting. Involves frequent contact with staff and the public. Work may be stressful at times. Contact may involve dealing with upset people.
