From your PASSION to ours The Maintenance Apprentice is an entry-level maintenance position in which you receive comprehensive training and experience in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of equipment. Under the guidance of experienced technicians, the apprentice will learn how to perform the day-to-day activities and responsibilities of our maintenance technicians. From your
EXPERTISE
to ours Key responsibilities for this position include: Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled Basic knowledge of tools, machinery, and electrical systems ( Basic knowledge of tools, machinery, required; knowledge of electrical systems preferred Assist in diagnosing mechanical issues and performing necessary repairs Assist with troubleshooting mechanical devices such as centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, roller conveyors, belt conveyors, palletizers, sanitary and non-sanitary valves, fillers, check weighers, metal detectors, gearboxes, bearings, seals and etc Gain an understanding of positive displacement pumps & centrifugal pumps Assist in troubleshooting various pump systems Gain an understanding of SAP and how to look up parts in the system Assist in the installation and set-up of new machinery or equipment. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with company and safety standards Support the documentation of maintenance activities, including logging repairs, adjustments, and spare part usage Follow all company policies, including food safety, health, and environmental regulations
Requirements:
From your STORY to ours Qualified applicants will contribute the following: High school diploma or equivalent; enrollment in or completion of a relevant technical program is a plus Strong interest in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance Basic knowledge of tools, machinery, and electrical systems (training will be provided) Experience with computer skills such as: SAP, Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint Ability to work in a past-pasted environment Ability to work well in a team and take direction from senior technicians Strong communication skills and attention to detail Willingness to learn and develop new skills in a hands-on environment Lactalis Heritage Dairy is an equal employment opportunity employer.
