Goodhue County, MN Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Wastewater Manager to oversee daily operations of an industrial wastewater treatment facility using a membrane bioreactor system. This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for compliance, team supervision, equipment oversight, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead daily operations of a membrane bioreactor (MBR) wastewater treatment system Monitor and adjust plant processes to meet all local, state, and federal permit requirements Supervise, schedule, and train wastewater staff to ensure safe and efficient operations Perform and oversee testing including BOD, TSS, Ammonia, Phosphorus, and other regulatory samples Ensure accurate and timely submission of discharge monitoring reports and compliance documentation Maintain inventory of chemicals, parts, and equipment Work with vendors and contractors as needed Participate in budget planning and cost control Support environmental audits, inspections, and permit renewals Coordinate pest control services.

Education Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred 4 to 10 years of experience in industrial wastewater treatment Minnesota Class B Wastewater Operator Certification required; Class A preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Experience with membrane bioreactor systems and belt press dewatering preferred Knowledge of activated sludge, anaerobic contact systems, and clarification processes Supervisory experience in a treatment plant environment Basic electrical and mechanical repair skills including pumps, motors, and control systems Familiarity with

SCADA, SAP, MS

Word, and Excel Schedule and Travel:
