Position Overview:

As a Consumer Loan Officer , you will be responsible for providing excellent service to our members by assessing and approving consumer loans. You will work closely with individuals to understand their financial needs, recommend loan products, and guide them through the application process. You will also be responsible for maintaining strong member relationships and ensuring a high level of satisfaction throughout the lending experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate and process consumer loan applications (e.g., auto loans, personal loans, credit cards, etc.). Interview members to assess their financial needs and provide appropriate loan products. Analyze credit reports, financial documents, and other relevant information to determine loan eligibility. Ensure compliance with credit union lending policies and applicable laws. Assist members with the loan application process, explaining terms, conditions, and repayment schedules. Provide exceptional member service, addressing inquiries and resolving any issues. Build strong, long-term relationships with members by providing personalized financial advice and solutions. Work closely with team members and other departments to ensure timely and accurate loan processing.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in consumer lending or a related financial services field. Strong knowledge of consumer loan products and services. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Ability to analyze credit reports, financial documents, and other relevant information. Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks Familiarity with compliance regulations and lending policies is a plus. Proficient with MS Office and loan origination software.
