Quality Technician - II 2.7 2.7 out of 5 stars 907 North 7th Avenue, Brandon, SD 57005 Quality Technician Level 2 ensure auditing and inspection processes are followed to verify product conformance to specification.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily: Ability to perform all duties performed by Quality Technician Level 1 and : Teach necessary skills to Quality Technicians Level 1 Teach on quality-related subjects throughout departments Drive measurable improvements through training and process improvements Serve as short-term back-up for the QA Tech Lead Self-check work and inspect prior processes Meet production goals Maintain a clean and safe work area Initiate process improvements when able Work in close proximity to customer, as needed Operate any equipment or tools needed to perform the job Assist other team members and departments as needed Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent experience 4 years cross-functional experience in a fire-truck manufacturing facility Experience auditing or validating in all departments Detail oriented with strong analytical, communication and problem solving skills Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal Energetic, motivated, professional and serves as a team player Ability to multitask and effective time management skills Ability to use basic hand and power tools Ability to read and use a tape measure to precise measurements Ability to work in a team environment Ability to maintain attendance within company guidelines Ability to retain and apply instructions Positive attitude Work overtime on short notice Embrace change Basic computer skills and functional knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Access, and Excel Basic math skills; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division Must be detailed orientated Ability to read and understand truck specification documents Ability to work within safety guidelines Must be self-motivated Must be able to work with little to no supervision after two weeks CDL is required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The associate frequently is required to talk or hear. The associate is required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel or crawl over, under and around equipment. The associate is required to frequently work from a ladder or at heights up to 11 feet off the ground. May be exposed to vibration. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds frequently, move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
