Manual Machining Specialist Personnel Evaluation, Inc. Milwaukee, WI 53267 Overview We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and be proficient in using various manual machining tools and techniques. This role is essential for producing high-quality components that meet our stringent specifications. The Manual Machinist will work closely with engineers and other machinists to ensure that all parts are manufactured accurately and efficiently. Manual Machinist Job description We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to operate and maintain manual machining equipment, producing precision parts and components. The ideal candidate will have experience with lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses, along with the ability to interpret technical drawings and ensure quality standards. Set up, adjust, and operate manual machining tools (lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses) to fabricate parts per specification Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine machining operations Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure part accuracy Conduct routine maintenance on machinery, including cleaning, lubricating, and minor repairs. Inspect finished workpieces for defects and adherence to tolerances Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust tools or processes as needed Maintain a safe, organized work area and comply with OSHA and company safety protocols Assist in training junior machinists and collaborating with engineering tea Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred of manual machining experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment Proficiency in operating manual lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) Ability to use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators) Mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail Physical stamina for standing, lifting, and handling heavy materials Preferred Experience Familiarity with CNC machinery (a plus but not required) Welding, fabrication, or assembly experience If you are passionate about precision machining and looking for an opportunity to grow your skills within a supportive team environment, we encourage you to apply for the Manual Machinist position.
