THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL
Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Low Voltage Apprentice to join our growing team of professionals and work under the supervision of an experienced Low Voltage Journeyman. Applicants must be willing to apply for entry into an accredited apprenticeship program.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
(and doing well!) Assist in installing low voltage electrical systems such as fire alarm, security, access control, data/networking, and PA Systems. Assist in the assembly of control equipment and components as required for a complete installation. The position will consist of providing assistance to a qualified journeyman who will be completing field installation projects in a local area.
WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU
High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent communication skills, self-supervision, and respect for fellow employees. Basic knowledge of hand and power tools Strong desire to learn the low voltage trade. Ability to work overtime & out-of-town, if the need arises. Can climb ladders and lift/carry at least 50 pounds. Able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screening. Valid drivers' license & reliable transportation. Employment contingent on the application and acceptance into a certified low-voltage apprenticeship program, such as the ABC program.
