Healthcare | Compliance | Fraud Investigation Dean's Professional Services is actively seeking an experienced Manager•Special Investigations Unit (SIU) to join a leading hospital system in Houston, TX. This is an exciting opportunity to lead critical fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA) initiatives in a patient-centered, value-based healthcare organization. About the Role As the Manager of SIU , you'll oversee all aspects of the Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Program, ensuring regulatory compliance and leading high-impact investigations that protect patient trust and organizational integrity. You'll manage a dynamic team and coordinate with government agencies, vendors, and healthcare providers to prevent, detect, and resolve FWA issues. Key Responsibilities Lead investigations into potential fraud, waste, and abuse involving Medicaid and commercial providers, vendors, and members. Manage a high-volume caseload, ensuring accurate documentation, reporting, and resolution. Oversee overpayment recoveries and regulatory reporting. Respond to government and regulatory inquiries related to FWA cases. Coordinate with subcontractors and internal departments to advance cases and ensure compliance. Identify new recovery opportunities and help shape preventative strategies and employee education. Analyze FWA trends and propose process improvements. Serve as a liaison to law enforcement, regulators, and third-party partners.
What You Bring Education:
High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor's Degree preferred)
Experience:
Minimum 8 years of fraud investigations or SIU experience with a health plan and understands SIU components and functions. At least 1 year working with Medicaid investigations Required Certifications (One of the following): CFE•Certified Fraud Examiner AHFI•Accredited Health Care Fraud Investigator CPA•
Certified Public Accountant Intermediate Peace Officer Proficiency Certificate Skills & Knowledge:
