Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Field Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of wired and wireless equipment. This role requires technical expertise, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and the capability to perform in diverse environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation & Setup:

Install and uninstall wireless microwave systems on client rooftops and towers. Set up Access Points, Phones, Cameras, Routers, Switches, and other related equipment. Terminate shielded CAT5/CAT6 and RJ11 cables. Perform cable installations, including EMT, PVC, direct burial, and aerial work.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot ISP.net services. Perform minor IT-related repairs in the field with remote support from the Engineering team.

Safety & Compliance:

Follow safety protocols to protect yourself, the team, and customers.

Project Participation:

Contribute to internal and external company projects as needed.

Qualifications:

Education & Professional Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass background checks. Must be 21 years or older. Spanish-speaking skills are a plus.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in using cable testing tools (e.g., Fluke, Ideal). Familiarity with Windows operating systems and local IP address configuration. Prior experience in WISP, satellite installation, or a similar field is highly preferred.

Physical & Environmental Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs., including 40ft ladders. Comfortable working at heights, including climbing towers (up to 160ft) and accessing rooftops (up to 400ft). Manual dexterity for operating hand and power tools. Visual acuity for distinguishing colors and fine details. Ability to work in various outdoor conditions, including inclement weather.
