Join our client as a DevOps Engineer for a 6 month contract to hire position! This role is a remote position however you MUST be willing to go to meetings in Wayne, PA as needed!! LOCAL candidate only!! • based on candidate will to learn "This a junior engineer positions and I would like to have them experience on the AWS cloud that is our main focus and AWS and cloud and experience some experience with Terraform and septic Cloud formation template on this chef side I don't need to be a full experience on the shelf but if we have the experience on the Ruby, any scripting Ruby, PowerShell or the Shell script that explains we definitely needed for this position because the most of the automation is through the scripting then some experience on the kit lab that is mostly be the DevOps team.

Tools:

Terraform, Chef, Jenkins, and GitLab and robust is the nexus Chef side is great to have

• Ruby, and scripting ruby, PowerShell Gitlab for Jenkins to create pipelines CI/CD Pipelines Would like to have experience in AWS cloud
• Main focus Certifications are to big to have

• Example:

  AWS Certs, Gitlab 40% on demand calls
• JR engineer will be supporting application team Planning to convert to hiring candidate to fulltime Remote
• Needs to be working East Coast Times
• 6 month conversion

• Team:

  7 application teams globally, Application team is 100-200 developers. Will be help supporting these Not building anything from scratch
• just helping automation team and willing to learn the process Industry experience
• Mortgage insurance is nice to have but not a must Currently implementing this automation on the cloud side infrastructure as a port and the currently executing project we are migrating from the legacy AWS account into the modernized landing zone and control towers. Applications being used: Guide Wire IBM podium servers Salesforce Inhouse build

Description:

A DevOps Engineer works with application developers, release management, the infrastructure IT team and business staff to oversee the code release, combining an understanding of both engineering and coding. From creating and implementing software to analyzing data to improve existing applications, a DevOps Engineer increases productivity in the workplace. They understand the SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) and have a clear understanding of various automation tools for developing build and deploy pipelines (CI/CD Pipelines). A DevOps Engineer will establish and employ CI (Continuous Integration) tools such as Jenkins, Git, Nexus and Configuration Management Automation tools such as Chef to improve delivery speeds and efficiency. They will also be proficient with Cloud environments (AWS) and have strong experience programming in Ruby, Powershell or shell scripts.
