Full Job Description Overview:
Support the mission of People's Community Clinic by ensuring a positive and seamless experience for interns, clinical learners, volunteers, and entry-level employees. This role contributes to fostering a supportive and collaborative environment by assisting with recruitment efforts, managing the volunteer program, facilitating orientations, and supporting engagement initiatives. Additionally, the role provides essential administrative support, including monthly reporting and managing departmental orders, to help the organization achieve its goals of delivering exceptional care and strengthening community impact. The starting range for this position is between $25.00 - $27.00 hourly.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, this individual's primary responsibilities are to:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
o Assist with the recruitment and onboarding of interns, clinical learners, volunteers, and entry-level employees. o Schedule interviews, communicate with candidates, and maintain applicant tracking systems. o Partners with schools, community organizations, and supervisors to ensure proper placement and alignment with program goals.
Volunteer Program Support:
o Support volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling to meet program needs. o Maintain volunteer records, track hours, and ensure compliance with organizational policies. o Assist in developing recognition initiatives to enhance volunteer engagement and retention.
Orientation Facilitation:
o Coordinate and facilitate orientations for new interns, volunteers, contractors and employees, ensuring a welcoming and effective onboarding experience. o Prepare and distribute orientation materials and ensure compliance with required training.
Engagement Event Planning:
o Assist with planning and executing engagement events for staff, volunteers, and interns to promote team collaboration and morale. o Provide administrative support for event logistics, including preparation, execution, and follow-up activities.
Administrative Support:
o Prepare and complete monthly reports on recruitment activities, volunteer engagement, and program metrics. o Manage departmental orders, including supplies and resources needed for programs. o Maintain accurate and organized records for recruitment, volunteer, and program activities.
Communication and Collaboration:
o Serve as a point of contact for interns, clinical learners, and volunteers, addressing questions and concerns promptly. o Collaborate with supervisors and department leaders to identify program needs and support seamless integration of new team members. o Adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma/GED Graduation from an accredited 4-year college or university with major coursework in a related field preferred.
Experience:
1 - 2 years of human resources experience including employee or volunteer recruitment and onboarding. Nonprofit experience preferred. Healthcare experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to address individuals and information tactfully and with a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality. Exceptional customer service skills. Knowledge of HR practices, policies, and procedures. Demonstrated proficiency in human resources data base or information system management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Outstanding organizational and time-management skills. Ability to interact successfully with people from a variety of backgrounds and abilities.
Certificate/License:
PHR/SHRM-CP
preferred.
