Mechanic will be responsible for the troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of the Fleet road equipment including tractor, trailer, thermo-king, converter dolly and maintenance vehicles. Ensure compliance with all State and Federal trucking regulations. Mechanics will also be responsible for the documentation, completion, and to keep current the maintenance logs for all repairs and parts used daily. - PLUS $8,000 Sign-On Bonus
PAY:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates, etc.). Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards. Receive road calls, assign third party vendor, work with business partners on plan of action. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules/regulations and government guidelines. Utilize fleet maintenance software system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used. Backup to other maintenance shop personnel. Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certificates.SUPERVISION

The associate in this role is expected to perform assigned responsibilities inside a US Foods maintenance facility.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must have (3) years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic. Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs. Successfully demonstrated independent analytical and problem-solving skills. Prior experience in administering appropriate PM program. Must furnish own personal hand tools. (Quarterly tool allowance provided)EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent required.CERTIFICATIONS/TRAINING N/A LICENSES
Must possess a valid driver's license.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS A
valid Class-A CDL license and DOT certification preferred. Welding ability. Able to read and write legibly; able to follow orders; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS
