This role is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing heavy equipment, trucks, and machinery on job sites and at our facility. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently in the field, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. Responsibilities • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and emergency repairs on construction equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, skid steers, loaders, and trucks. • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in equipment. Conduct on-site repairs using a fully equipped service truck, ensuring minimal downtime for operations. Replace and repair parts such as hydraulic hoses, belts, filters, and engines. Perform welding and fabrication as needed for equipment repairs. Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and inspection reports. Communicate effectively with operators and supervisors regarding equipment status and repair needs. Keep the service truck stocked with necessary tools, parts, and fluids for field repairs. This position is designated as safety-sensitive, requiring strict adherence to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure personal and workplace safety. Service Truck Technicians must comply with company safety policies and OSHA regulations while performing duties in the field and shop. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred. 3+ years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, diesel technician, or similar role. Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and electrical components. Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus. Class A CDL is required. Ability to work independently in various weather conditions and job site environments. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
