PURPOSE AND DESCRIPTION OF JOB
Performs tasks in the repair and maintenance of machinery, building, and support equipment. Employee exercises technical independence in determining work methods and procedures and receives assignments orally or through written instructions which may be accompanied by sketches or diagrams. Review of work is received from Team Leader or Supervisor through inspection and discussion.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Installs electrical systems and related equipment. Troubleshoots, tests, maintains, and evaluates equipment using electronic instruments. Installs and repairs production machine electrical systems. Performs skilled electrical activities including troubleshooting three phase 480vac and low voltage control systems including 4-20 ma instrumentation circuits. PLC troubleshooting with the ability to understand controls circuits and how to repair them. Prepares accurate records for TPM's, preventative maintenance and performs preventative work orders as scheduled. Performs related work as requested. Adheres to all facility safe practices. Use common hand tools, meters, gauges and other associated test and measurement equipment. Ability to run conduit and pull the correct gauge of wire to match the amperage draw of a given circuit. Interact with contractors. Participates in parts inventory and cycle counts. Must understand and use of Lock Out / Tag Out procedures. Carries out environmental compliance tasks, as appropriate to the position. Supervisory responsibilities depend on skill block designation.
EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS
Electrical Certification required in the following 2 areas: General Industrial Electricity, and Motor Controls. Electrical Certification in PLC's is desired. High School diploma desired Must supply necessary hand tools to perform specific duties.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 3-5 years of prior experience in industrial electricity PC literate Ability to understand ladder logic controls and PLC's Ability to train others. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Working knowledge of National Electric Code. Read and understand logic diagrams. Ability to understand and troubleshoot VFD's (variable frequency drives AC/ DC) Must have knowledge in how to use electrical and electronic testing equipment. Ability to read blueprints and schematics pertaining to electrical and electronic equipment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to identify slight color codes. Must be able to lift a minimum of 35lbs to shoulder height. Must be able to climb stairs occasionally to access roof and electrical equipment. ENVIRONMENT
Will spend 100% of time on manufacturing floor with moderate noise levels which will require the use of personal protective equipment including
NFPA-70 E
required equipment, (but not limited to) hearing protection, safety glasses and steel toe shoes.
Compensation:
