Flexco, a leading global manufacturer, is seeking a CNC Set-up and Operator, to work second shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM.) in our air-conditioned facility. The chosen candidate would be responsible for running a production machine, within a manufacturing facility. 2nd Shift CNC Set Up and Operators at Flexco can expect a starting compensation of between $26.00 and $33.00 per hour, or more, depending on skills, education and experience. Requires a broad knowledge of machining techniques and familiarity with computer numerically controlled machine tool operating procedures. Blueprint Reading The ability to; lift floor to waist 2-5 lbs. frequently and up to 50-100 lbs. occasionally, Push/Pull 20 feet maximum of 50-100 lbs., trunk rotation 45 degrees from midline both directions, reach Greater than 18 inches 45 degrees from midline both directions, stand for full shift and use small hand tools Previous experience planning small projects and/or had responsibility for the accuracy and schedule of independent work. Work requires employee to make significant logical decisions using generally recognized skills/techniques.
What you will be doing:
Set up, run, monitor, and adjust CNC Fadals, Mazak, Mills and Lathe to perform a series of progressive machining operations on repetitive work to close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications requiring considerable skill. Works from programming instructions, operational data and machine setup instructions defining and coding tool arrangements, material clamping methods, machine calibrations and control settings, for operations such as bore, mill, drill, face thread and profiling and contouring. Checks parts for conformance to specifications. Make changes and adjustments to machine offsets and programs as required to assure finished part quality. Perform measurement and quality checks on parts/ make adjustments. Maintain and update, when necessary, process instructions and control plans. Perform all secondary deburring, cleaning, and assembly as required. Able to run more than one machine simultaneously. Keep all tools. Fixtures, work areas, and paperwork clean and organized. Run CMM machine. Participate in our Employee Suggestion System, Lean activities, and WPO projects. Participate in Continuous Improvement and Suggestion System as required.
