The Solar Crew Lead is an essential part of the Ion Solar Pros Installation team. In this role, you will be an instrumental part of our company, striving to provide the best installation service with our products safely and on time. We offer new equipment, new vehicles, and best-in-class technology. We are looking for an experienced crew lead to join our team. Ion Solar Pros is busy every day of the week,, so this position will be required to work weekends as well. Job Responsibilities:
Support the Installation Manager and Electrician on all Ion Solar Pros solar installations. Assemble and install all components of a residential solar system in accordance with codes and standards Plan and execute methods for laying out, orienting, and mounting modules or arrays to ensure efficient installation. Structurally mount racking, electrical equipment while effectively sealing penetrations Identify and resolve any deficiencies in photovoltaic (PV) system installation or materials. Maintain a clean worksite and safe working environment Follow OSHA safety standards and Properly use Personal Protective Equipment Ensure job sites are left clean Compile and maintain records of system installation. Perform site survey appointments as scheduled, collecting site information and preparing deliverable packages for downstream teams Provide detailed information regarding structural and electrical systems Provide detailed roof quality information and measurements Take and capture clear photos of site survey deliverables Documenting all work done at the installation site and transmitting to our engineering team
Qualifications & Requirements:
Previous solar crew lead experience required Comfortable working outside in extreme environments year-round. Able to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment. Excellent attendance is essential for the team to achieve success Experience on roof Positive attitude and the ability to work with others Able to climb ladders, work on rooftops, and work on your feet for long periods of time Have a valid state driver's license & clean driving record Ion Solar Pros is proud to be an equal opportunity employer that does not tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind.
