The Surgery Scheduler Lead is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day functions for assigned area. Assists with ensuring that departmental goals are achieved, timelines met, and service excellence provided in all aspects of work. Subject matter expert. Responsible for scheduling patients for procedures in designated departments while providing appropriate departments with required information. Details of the position: Assigns work; plans and manages priorities; provides technical assistance; oversees staff schedules; monitors quality of work; monitors team projects; mentors staff; provides constructive feedback; oversees staff training; ensures quality improvement; ensurespliance with policies; provides leadership feedback on staff performance and assists with goal setting for the team. Completes the scheduling process by coordinating surgery department (hospital or ambulatory surgery center) and physician offices' needs. This includesmunicating with physician offices to assure scheduling system is accurate: ensuring the schedule ispleted in a timely manner ahead of surgery date; documenting block release times for block utilization reports. Schedules surgery visits as required. Arranges cases to assure maximum effectiveness of schedule. Performs other duties as assigned. What you bring: High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
College Coursework Required:
Medical Terminology Minimum of 1 year

Experience as a Surgery Scheduler Minimum of 2 years

Related experience in a healthcare setting
