We are a growing company seeking a Full Stack PHP Developer to maintain and enhance our existing PHP codebases and develop new LAMP-based applications. In this role, you'll focus on writing clean, efficient PHP code and optimizing MySQL queries. With a dedicated system administration team in place, your Linux responsibilities will be limited to basic tasks such as reading error logs and performing simple troubleshooting.Key Responsibilities:
PHP Development (80%): Develop, maintain, and update PHP applications across multiple sites. Work with our legacy vanilla, non-framework, MVC PHP codebases, ensuring stability and performance. Optimize MySQL database queries for improved efficiency. Configure and fine-tune Apache on Linux servers to ensure reliable web service. Collaborate with team members to implement new features and resolve issues. Basic System Support (20%): Perform basic Linux tasks such as reading and interpreting error logs. Liaise with the dedicated system administration team for advanced server issues. Maintain up-to-date technical documentation related to code changes and procedures.Requirements:
Technical Expertise:
PHP Development:
2+ years of experience as a PHP Developer working with vanilla, non-framework, MVC PHP codebases.Database Management:
Experience with MySQL database design, query optimization, and troubleshooting.Server Configuration:
Familiarity with configuring Apache (or Nginx) on Linux (preferably Ubuntu) servers.Front-End Development:
Basic skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with experience using AJAX, jQuery, and JSON to facilitate dynamic, asynchronous communication between the front and back ends.Version Control:
Proficiency with version control systems such as SVN or GIT.Additional Skills:
Basic Linux knowledge (e.g., reading error logs and executing simple commands). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work both collaboratively in a team and independently manage tasks.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with legacy PHP codebases. Familiarity with PHP 7 or later. Basic understanding of web application security best practices.Benefits:
