Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced
VRF HVAC
Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, specifically in the installation, maintenance, and repair of Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems. The
VRF HVAC
Technician will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance and efficiency of VRF systems in primarily commercial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation:
Install
VRF HVAC
systems according to manufacturer specifications and local building codes. Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely and accurate installation.
Maintenance and Repair:
Conduct routine maintenance on VRF systems, including cleaning, checking refrigerant levels, and replacing filters. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in VRF systems and perform necessary repairs.
System Testing:
Test and evaluate system performance, making adjustments as needed to optimize efficiency. Use specialized tools and equipment to assess system functionality.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities. Provide detailed reports and recommendations to management regarding system performance and upgrades.
Customer Service:
Interact professionally with clients, providing them with clear explanations of work performed and any required follow-up. Address customer concerns and questions in a timely and courteous manner.
Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Stay current with industry standards and regulations regarding HVAC systems.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in HVAC or a related field preferred. Valid HVAC certification or license. Minimum of 4 years of experience in HVAC installation and repair, with specific experience in VRF systems preferred. Strong understanding of HVAC principles, refrigerants, and electrical systems. Proficient in using HVAC diagnostic tools and software. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call shifts if needed.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy equipment and tools (up to 50 pounds). Comfort working in various environments, including residential and commercial spaces. Ability to climb ladders and work at heights as required.
