Role Overview:
HASBARCO
seeks a meticulous Accounting Technician I to support the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable. This role includes preparing payments, responding to internal and external inquiries, and maintaining accuracy in financial records. You'll play an essential part in audit support, report preparation, and policy development for our financial procedures. Accounting Technician Role:
Process full-cycle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and compliance with
HASBARCO
guidelines. Review and reconcile vendor invoices, statements, and reports; resolve discrepancies as needed. Calculate and remit use tax and process Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Housing Assistance Payments. Maintain vendor records, including W-9s and 1099 forms, and ensure compliance with state and federal requirements. Support the Director of Finance with audits, budget preparation, and internal financial reports. Who Will Thrive in

Minimum Qualifications:
Experience:
Two years of full-time, progressively responsible experience in Accounts Payable.
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent, with coursework in office practices, accounting, or bookkeeping.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Client Database Software (i.e. YARDI preferred); Payroll Software (ADP preferred).

Conditions of Employment:
Working Hours:
Most staff positions work a 9/80 schedule during regular business hours between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM.
Provisional Period:
All appointments are provisional subject to a minimum six-month provisional period.
Driver's License:
Many positions require a valid California Driver's License and a good driving record.
Background Investigation:
A background investigation, including criminal history and DMV reports, is required for all hires.
Medical Examination:
A medical examination and drug testing may be required for certain positions.
