Full-time Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate payment matching, processing deposits, and reconciling discrepancies. This role includes managing collections, preparing lien releases, handling legal paperwork, and providing assistance with contract processing.

Hourly Rate:
$27.00

Responsibilities:
1) Cash Applications Receive and reconcile Daily Cash Receipts (Checks , EFT's , Wires) Ensure payments are properly matched to correct Customer, Job and contract item Reconcile overages and underpayment and instigate resolution measures Scan \ Upload checks, Payment applications and related documents to electronic Job Files Process daily bank Deposits (electronically) 2) Collections Utilize AR Aging, current statements and other internal reports to follow up on past due Accounts Receivable Document Collection activities in our ERP ( Vista) Follow up on Over \ Underpayments Participate in routine collection meeting with operational staff 3) Liens Prepare Lien Release for signature File Releases in Electronic Job files 4) Misc. Prepare letters, forms and paperwork for legal proceedings, client communications and other related Accounts Receivable activities Occasionally assist with contract processing Any other projects or duties assigned by senior accounting staff. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Education Required:
High school diploma or equivalent (College preferred)
Minimum Experience Required:
Two years of experience in an accounting department and with at least one year of training in cash applications. (Construction, Contracting, AIA Billing preferred) Proficient in Word, Excel and construction accounting software (Vista Preferred) Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills Service oriented Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Detail Oriented:
accuracy in data entry and record keeping Problem solver, good with puzzles, has common sense
