Job Description

Position Summary The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for conducting quality control reviews for various products and services for multiple Credit Union departments and business units. This position will serve as a member of the first line of defense and will review, monitor, track and provide reporting in accordance with Credit Union policies, procedures and regulatory requirements, as necessary.

Pay range for this hourly position is $26.02 - $30.42/hr with a progressive benefits package. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs essential duties and responsibilities in the following areas which may include but are not limited to those listed and are subject to change. + Adheres to the Credit Union's core values and Service Standards in conducting GreenState's mission and vision. + Demonstrates a positive member service (internal and external) focus at all times. + Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities. + Ensures confidentiality of member information. + Supports a diverse and inclusive work environment. + Maintains knowledge of and adheres to state, federal and credit union regulations, policies and guidelines. + Maintains knowledge of Credit Union products and services. + Designs, implements, and maintains quality control review plans for assigned products and services. + Creates and modifies, as necessary, written procedures for quality control reviews. + Conducts independent quality control reviews as assigned. + Identifies and records findings for accuracy and defects noted during quality control reviews. + Prepares written quality control reports of testing results with effective conclusions and findings. + Supports process improvement. + Identifies and recommends training opportunities to ensure that all appropriate employees and management are knowledgeable of, and comply with, pertinent federal and state standards. + Makes recommendations and propose solutions to mitigate errors to various departments based upon quality control review findings and/or common defects. + Assists with training of new and existing team members as needed. + Has a considerable understanding of Retail Banking operations, deposit products/services and systems. + Assists with internal audit or exam compliance request items. Job Requirements/Expectations + High school diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED.) required with at least two (2) years of financial industry related experience. + Banking Compliance experience highly preferred. + Reports to work punctually, works all scheduled hours, and works overtime as necessitated by business demand. + High level of accuracy and attention to detail required. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Lending and deposit account knowledge required. + Strong interpersonal skills. + Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with other business units, including but not limited to Compliance and Audit, Retail Banking and the Card and Deposit Services department. + Proficiency with related computer applications, spreadsheets, etc. + Ability to multi-task. + Self-motivated with the ability to work with limited direct supervision while maintaining a focus on tasks and responsibilities. + Must be bondable. Reporting Relationship Reports to SVP/Payment, Card and Deposit Services. Supervisory Responsibilities This position is not responsible for the supervision of others.
