Control Technician APS Building Services - 3.9 Houston, TX Job Details Full-time $36 - $52 an hour 15 hours ago Benefits Profit sharing Company truck Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Mid-level 3 years High school diploma or GED Network protocols HVAC Data entry Trade school Full Job Description The primary function of the Control Technician is to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by taking ownership and providing accurate and timely service, repair, and replacement of all types of Automation equipment in the commercial/industrial HVAC market. May be required to be accessible at extended hours. Works under minimal supervision. This position reports to the Automation Service Manager.
Compensation:
$36-$52/hr. (depending on skillset and experience)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Promptly and accurately respond to service requests in accordance with company procedures. Submit reports and invoicing data following company protocols. Maintain a strong understanding of HVAC systems, control systems, network protocols, and continuously update technical knowledge related to HVAC and Automation repair and replacement. Possess hands-on experience with Distech, Johnson FX, and Honeywell systems. Demonstrate proficiency in using Building Automation System (BAS) software and tools. Safely and efficiently operate all tools and equipment required for the job. Accurately diagnose issues with HVAC Automation equipment and determine the best strategy for repair or replacement. Safely manage all equipment parts, requesting assistance when necessary to meet customer deadlines and expectations. Consistently check work for accuracy, correcting any errors or deficiencies as needed. Communicate effectively and work well with others. Adhere to management's directions for repairing HVAC Automation equipment. Perform other duties as assigned. Education /
Licensing Requirements:
High school diploma or GED Vocational/Technical school preferred.
Tridium Certified Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years successful experience in Automation and/ or HVAC industry, including field work
