JOB DESCRIPTION YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 5-7
years, operations-carpenter. Experience in similar sized health care institution, within in carpentry/ maintenance discipline.YEARS OF EXPERIENCE PREFERRED PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Continuously stand/walk or lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight. Continuously stand/walk or lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight (20 to 50 lbs).Examples:
Nurses, LPNs, and Physical Therapists.ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises. Located in an environment with regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises which cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness.Examples:

- Installs drywall. Installs drywall and other well finished materials. Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff
- Hangs and installs materials. Hangs ceiling tiles, ceiling grids, cubicle tracks, pictures, bulletin boards, signs, etc. Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff
- Repairs furniture. Constructs/ repairs furniture, shelving, benches, partitions, including Formica work, cabinets and bulletin boards. Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff
- Replaces materials. Replaces hinges, door closures, and other similar hardware. Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff
- Hangs materials. Constructs and hangs fire doors. Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff
- Works with lumbar. Sorts and selects lumbar by grade and by type for best application. Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff
- Applies materials. Applies roofing materials such as tin, lead, tar, paper, pile, rubber, compositions, or tar and gravel. Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff
- Stays current. Stays current with Carpentry trade and displays appropriate knowledge when applicable. Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff
- Complies with codes and regulations. Preforms assigned jobs in accordance with the Uniform Construction Code, BOCA, NFPA, and all the NYDOH and JCAHO regulations at all times. Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff
