The Interview phase is a panel interview with the HR Director, and 2 police department staff. City will then determine whether to move you into the background phase which includes but is not limited to a polygraph test. If a conditional offer is made, the candidate will undergo a psychological assessment, a post-offer polygraph and Ohio Police Pension physical with drug screen. A Final Offer is made only upon successful completion of the background investigation and post-offer assessments. Applicants with Prior Law Enforcement Experience at Time of Application- Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of one year of service as a full-time peace officer, or as a special agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, or as a special agent of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives Certified as a law enforcement officer by the Ohio Peace Officer's Training Commission, or a law enforcement training commission from another state, or a peace officer as defined by the Ohio Revised Code, or a special agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, or as a special agent of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives Must not have been out of active law enforcement status for more than two years Valid Ohio driver license at the time of the appointment No crime of violence or felony conviction Minimum age of 21
