A confidential client in the precision manufacturing industry is seeking a highly skilled CMM Operator/Programmer to join their Quality Control team. This is a 1st shift, full-time, on-site opportunity in Irvine, CA , offering a competitive hourly rate based on experience and technical proficiency. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating and programming Zeiss CMMs using CALYPSO software , with strong GD&T knowledge and a passion for accuracy and process excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Program and run CMM inspections using CALYPSO software (Zeiss systems) Interpret technical blueprints and GD&T requirements to perform accurate inspections Operate standard metrology tools including micrometers, calipers, indicators, fixed gauges, and surface plate equipment Maintain and clean CMM machines; ensure all equipment is properly calibrated Review, record, and report inspection/test data; flag deviations as needed Coordinate with production and quality teams to support timely part release Maintain accurate inspection records within ERP systems and Excel Contribute to ongoing improvements in inspection process and documentation

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of hands-on CMM inspection and programming experience Proficient with CALYPSO software Solid knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) Strong blueprint reading skills and attention to detail Experience with 3D models and CAD interpretation is a plus Familiarity with preventative maintenance of CMM equipment Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications a plus If you are interested in this opportunity, submit your resume for immediate consideration.
