Quality Specialist (2nd Shift)#25-02289 $1.00-$40.78 per hour Colorado Springs, CO
All On-site Job Description Responsibilities:
Supports corrective Action Boards with suppliers, lead escape management activities and validate root Cause and Corrective Actions. Receiving Inspection and/or Production Inspection / Audits. Inspects manufactured products, purchased samples, materials and parts, control samples, processes, or test data for conformity to blueprints, specifications and standards. Inspects a variety of units using measuring/inspection instruments (e.g. micrometers, gauges and calipers) with proper inspection techniques. Make decisions regarding product acceptance per product documentation and company workmanship criteria. Document inspection activities on appropriate inspection records. Maintain inspection records in an organized manner. Document product discrepancies per company procedures. Reads, interprets and utilizes Quality policies, procedures, blueprints and other documentation. Understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Completes First Article Inspection (FAI) forms to ensure compliance with requirements, while inspecting FAI units. Capable of supporting multiple product lines and/or commodities. Answer quality & inspection questions.
Requirements:
Acquire applicable skill/knowledge/certifications and complete trainings as required. Ability to prioritize numerous tasks to meet schedule needs. May perform other job duties as required and be available for overtime as needed In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 1 year of relevant experience is required. Must be able to pass an eye exam with or without glasses along with a color test. Be proficient in blueprint reading / GD&T and able to explain to others Familiarity with AS9102, First Article Inspection & Final Inspection processes Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Basic computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases SAP experience and NDT knowledge a plus Accuracy and attention to detail is highly important Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of internal and external customers and support groups Organizational skills with the ability to work under stress
