• Job Overview
• We are seeking an experienced HR Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide strategic HR guidance and support to our clients, ensuring compliance with employment laws and best practices. This is a contract position with the possibility of becoming permanant hire.
• Duties
• Conduct HR audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement
• Develop HR policies and procedures tailored to CBD/Hemp Industry
• Assist with employee relations issues, including conflict resolution
• Manage payroll processes using systems such as Gusto
• Oversee workforce management activities, including scheduling and attendance tracking, recruitment and terminations/disciplinary.
• Handle FMLA, SB989 and workers' compensation claims efficiently
• Skills
• Proficiency in payroll systems like Gusto, Oracle, Ceridian, Paychex, or PeopleSoft
• Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations in California, CBD/Hemp industry exerience a strong preference.
• Excellent conflict management skills
• Ability to handle workforce management effectively
