Are you ready to power up your career in the electric utility industry? Join our team as an Apprentice Lineman, where you'll learn from experienced professionals while developing the skills necessary to become a full-fledged Lineman. This role offers hands-on experience in line construction, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
What You'll Do:
Material Assembly & Tool Maintenance:
Prepare materials and tools to support line personnel in their work.
Line & Substation Support:
Assist in the construction, maintenance, and inspection of lines and substations, learning the trade from the ground up.
Safety & Hazard Recognition:
Gain an understanding of safety protocols and how to identify potential hazards when working on energized lines and equipment.
Skill Development:
Learn essential skills such as pole climbing, blueprint reading, and equipment operation under the guidance of experienced linemen.
What You'll Bring:
Educational Background:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
A minimum of one year of related construction experience is preferred.
Licensing:
Ability to obtain and maintain a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within nine months of employment. What to

Work Environment:
Be prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions—from blazing sun to winter frost—and at various heights, including climbing up to 440 feet.
Physical Demands:
This role requires strength, endurance, and flexibility. You'll be lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds or more, as well as bending, kneeling, and climbing.
Safety First:
You'll be required to wear personal safety equipment and adhere to strict safety guidelines at all times.
Location & Availability:
Must reside within a 30-minute response time to our Bowie, TX office for emergency responses and be willing to work overtime or travel on short notice. Why Join Us?
