Production Coordinator Thomas Processing (Div of IMA North America) 200 Airport Road, Elgin, IL 60123
Job Summary:
Perform duties to coordinate assembly floor activities involving work order generation, work order scheduling, parts procurement, labor tracking, reporting and final product release for shipment.Job Duties:
Run work in process reports to analyze and identify part shortage requirements, follow-up with vendors and/or purchasing to obtain required parts and expedite deliveries with vendors and the purchasing department. Update and maintain work orders resulting from Engineering Change Notices and notify production units of changes to jobs in process. Run established and special manufacturing related reports as requested. Enter work orders for all customer service and capital equipment orders. Maintain manufacturing schedules to ensure manufacturing commitments are met. Maintain records and input data of shop floor activities to update computer files and prepare performance summary reports. Keep appropriate personnel informed of assembly production schedules and provide project tracking documents as required. Release work order picks to the stockroom based on direction from manufacturing team. Set up router on new assemblies and operations and determine estimated labor hours for completion in collaboration with manufacturing team. Identify and tag equipment prior to shipment. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. multiple times per day. Perform other related duties as assigned.Education/Experience:
3+ years of related work experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills High School diploma or equivalent Comfortable working with ERP systems Experience generating production schedules and reports Previous experience working in an OEM equipment manufacturing environmentPhysical Requirements:
Manual dexterity to use a keyboard. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Able to hear and speak clearly in person and over the phone. May be required to stay late or come in early to complete important tasks due to customer requirements and completion dates.Job Type:
