Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Monitor, Configure & Troubleshoot Switches, Firewalls, VPN appliancesUse network diagnostic tools as per product requirementsEnsure the reliability, availability and performance of network infrastructure & network-related applicationActively participate in incident response and root-cause analysis, support a blameless post-mortems cultureDocument root-cause analysis and offer solutions to prevent future client network outagesCommission and decommission infrastructureIdentify and suggest network designs that will enable consistent client network workflowMaintain current customer network documentation that documents outages, changes, and best practicesAutomate repetitive tasks to eliminate toil and drive consistency + repeatabilityDevelop tools and services to automate the mitigation and remediation of network-specific eventsParticipate in creating customized network management tools to evaluate, monitor and report network statisticsDesign, write and deliver Infrastructure as Code software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of networkRequired Education, Experience, & Skills Must have at least Active Secret ClearanceMinimum of a High School Diploma and 7 or more years or relevant experience or Bachelor's Degree in related field and 4 or more years of relatable work experience Must be able to obtain CompTIA S+ Certification within 2 months of hireGood understanding of TCP/IP model, Open Networking standards, Jun OS, Cisco IOSSignificant experience with network diagnostic tools such as tcpdump, wiresharkExperience with Jun OS for switches, firewallsFamiliar with Pulse Secure VPNUnderstanding of network security (firewalls and IDS) design and implementationUnderstanding of complex networking models utilizing a variety of L2 & L3 protocolsKnowledge of spanning tree protocol, BGP, LACP, VLAN, MC-LAGBasic understanding of scripting & software development packages for development of Infrastructure as CodeWorking knowledge of one or more of the following languages: Ansible, Python, Ability to automate menial tasksUnderstanding of diagram drawing tools such as Visio, Lucid Charts, GliffyAble to document cause analysis and offer solutions to prevent future client network outagesExcellent oral and written communication skillsPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years' work experience or equivalent work experience.

$112420 - $191070Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.Employee Benefits:
