• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and patient caregivers to improve clinical documentation
• Conduct concurrent and retrospective reviews of medical records for accuracy
• Educate healthcare providers on the significance of complete clinical documentation
• Identify opportunities for documentation improvement using clinical expertise
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to strategize documentation enhancements What is Required (Qualifications):
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Certification as a Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) or Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP)
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience
• Strong knowledge of clinical documentation standards and regulatory requirements
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification if holding CCDS 2
• Experience with EHR, EMR, and Epic systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
