Position Overview:
As an Accounting Clerk , you will play a key role in managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring smooth financial operations. Experience with Viewpoint software is required to excel in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and record accounts payable invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment. Manage accounts receivable, including invoice generation, payment tracking, and follow-up on overdue accounts. Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly. Maintain vendor and client records in the Viewpoint system. Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes. Prepare reports related to AP, AR, and other financial activities as needed. Collaborate with the accounting team and project managers to support financial workflows. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in AP and AR roles, preferably within the construction industry.
Software:
Proficiency in Viewpoint is required.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in accounting or related field is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
