Job Description
Medical Assistant Supervisor 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars 9375 San Fernando Road, Sun Valley, CA 91352 The ideal candidate will have strong management, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multi-task and work through multiple interruptions throughout the day. Being a team player with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and lead by example, combined with a strong focus on delivering first-class customer service are key. Must have medical insurance knowledge as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. The Medical Assistant Supervisor works collaboratively with the Administrator to ensure appropriate access and delivery of care within the medical office. Functions as a liaison between the site employees, physicians, health plans and administrative team. Oversees the back office operations including but not limited to appropriate staffing level, delivery and adherence of policies and procedures.
Specific roles and responsibilities include:
Works collaboratively with the Administrator to ensure appropriate delivery of care within the Office. Oversees appropriate staffing levels based on volume to ensure adequate office coverage including appropriate use of staff overtime and registry. Developing, implementing, and maintaining office policies and procedures. Oversees implementation and adherence of policies/procedures and provides training as necessary to ensure appropriate understanding and usage. In concert with the Administrator operationalizes strategic goals and monitors progress towards meeting those goals. Functions with limited supervision in compliance with policies, practices, and procedures prescribed by the Company and OSHA requirements. Communicates with answering service regarding office hours, physician-on-call, etc. Investigates and responds to patient inquiries and concerns within 48 hours. Coordinates the CHDP program on site. Responds to the needs of health plans regarding HEIDIS and site audits/reviews. Conducts annual employee reviews and initiates disciplinary actions where appropriate. Assist in coordinating and responding to patient issues, and physician issues. Provides orientation process to new employees. Manage difficult or emotional patient situations; respond promptly to patient needs; solicit patient feedback to improve service; respond to requests for service assistance; meet commitments - excellent customer service is key, and candidate must be able to understand, implement and monitor front and back office staff to ensure customer service is superb. Ensure the confidentiality of all our patient records and care per confidentiality policy and HIPAA regulations. Coordinates work schedules for medical assistant staff.Skills :
