Our state-of-the-art Walbridge, Ohio facility has an immediate opening for a full-time Process Control Utility to join our team. This position requires an experienced candidate that can perform the functions of the positions in the Quality Assurance and Process Control departments - Inspector, QA Technician, E.G. Lab Technician, Treatment Operator, and PCC Operator.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintains cleaning, pickling, brushing and pretreatment systems at the temperature, concentrations and processing conditions required for that specific system. Responsible for chemical testing of systems and maintaining chemical feed supplies. Accurately tests all products for conformance to specifications; records test results and reports problem areas to supervisor. Maintains accurate records of processing conditions and test results as specified. Balances line speed and makes necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards. Visually inspects strip for coating and mill defects. Performs blister testing, records and communicates results to respective mill representative. Perform all functions in compliance with environmental, safety and housekeeping requirements. Assists in training of other personnel in this position. Performs special projects and other duties as directed.
EDUCATION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or GED equivalent. Must possess good communication skills. Must be able to maintain orderly records and following directions for particular process needs. Layman's technological knowledge of chemical properties preferred. Must be familiar with coil coating processing and equipment. One to three years of Quality Department work experience in the paint, chemical or metal manufacturing environment preferred. Willing and able to rotate shifts to cover as needed.
