Position Overview:

As an Automotive Shop Foreman/Service Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing daily shop operations, ensuring the efficient workflow of automotive repairs, and leading a team of skilled technicians. You will also be expected to perform hands-on service work, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles to the highest standards. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining our reputation for providing excellent customer service and high-quality repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day operations of the automotive repair shop, ensuring smooth workflow and timely completion of repairs. Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance and training as needed. Perform diagnostic testing and troubleshooting to identify mechanical, electrical, and performance issues. Conduct repairs and maintenance on all makes and models of vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and more. Maintain accurate records of service work performed, parts used, and labor hours. Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory compliance. Interact with customers to provide estimates, explain repairs, and ensure satisfaction. Monitor inventory levels and assist with parts ordering. Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic (5+ years preferred). Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role (shop foreman or similar). Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Extensive knowledge of vehicle systems, components, and repair techniques. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. ASE certification or equivalent preferred. High school diploma or equivalent; automotive technical training preferred.
