Job Description
Senior DevOps Administrator
Terms of Employment Contract, 12 Months (Likely Extension(s)) This position is remote. Candidates based in a commutable distance to Reston, VA or Washington, DC are preferred but not required. This candidate must be comfortable participating in an on-call rotation.
Overview & Responsibilities Work directly with an architect, principal engineer, lead engineer, and other team members on design and implementation tasks. Plan and build roadmaps for the automation of maintenance tasks and metrics of DevOps Tools such as Artifactory, SonarQube, Jenkins CI, Bitbucket.
Upgrade / Patch
/ Migrate DevOps tools. Apply engineering principles to improve resiliency, performance, efficiency and scalability of the DevSecOps ecosystem. Meet set milestones. Conduct code review, unit, and integration testing. Document system design and unit testing information. Identify opportunities to automate manual steps to reduce interdependency. Analyze existing processes within the team and suggest changes to improve throughput. Stay current with DevOps practices. Required Skills & Experience Current experience with installing, upgrading, patching, and routinely maintainingAT LEAST
two of the following: CloudBees CI, SonarQube, and Artifactory. Hands-on administration skills withAT LEAST
two of the following: CloudBees, BitBucket, Sonar, and Artifactory. Hands-on experience with Python and/or shell scripting. Experience in Linux and Windows administration (to include root access) to handle the above. Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence. Strong knowledge of development and testing best DevSecOps practices. Strong knowledge in Continuous Integration (CI), Testing (CT), and Deployment (CD) concepts. Excellent documentation skills. Self-starter and ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies, skills, and processes. Preferred Skills & Experience Working knowledge of DataDog. Linux Administration and/or Windows Administration-related certification(s). Jenkins-related certification(s).
