We are seeking a dedicated Coatings Journeyman to join our team! Candidate can expect to perform surface preparation duties, apply underlayment and/or primers, mid coats, and top coats on a daily basis. Coating projects can include the following: epoxy flooring, manhole coatings, lift station rehabilitation, pipe coatings, and many other specialty coating projects. ) Surface Preparation
  • Clean, sandblast, or hydroblast surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of coatings. Hand tool and power tool methods used. Coating Application
  • Apply epoxy, polyurethane, and other industrial coatings using spray, trowel, or brush/roll techniques. Manhole & Concrete Structure Rehabilitation
  • Repair, resurface, and seal cracks, seams, and deteriorated areas in manholes, wet wells, and other structures. Multiple Component Mixing
  • Properly mix and apply multiple component coatings when required. Confined Space Work
  • Safely enter and work within confined spaces like manholes, steel tanks, and underground structures. Equipment Operation
  • Use plural component pumps, airless sprayers, and other specialized coating equipment. Quality Control
  • Inspect coatings for thickness, uniformity, and adhesion to ensure compliance with specifications. Safety Compliance
  • Follow OSHA regulations and company safety protocols, including confined space entry and fall protection procedures. Material Handling
  • Properly store, transport, and dispose of coatings, chemicals, and hazardous materials. Manhole Frame & Cover Adjustments
  • Replace or adjust manhole rings, frames, and covers as needed. Sewer Bypass Setup
  • Utilize flow-through sewer plugs to maintain system operations during work as needed. General Maintenance & Cleanup
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
Communication:
Be able to clearly communicate with foreman and crew.
Experience & Skills:
please look through these Bilingual in English and Spanish (Preferred). Previous experience in industrial coatings, painting, or sandblasting. Proficiency in surface preparation (sandblasting, hydroblasting, hand/power tool cleaning). Ability to mix and apply epoxy, polyurethane, and other coatings. Experience working in confined spaces (manholes, tanks, wet wells, etc.). Familiarity with plural component coatings (a plus). Understanding of industrial safety protocols (OSHA standards, fall protection, respiratory protection). Ability to use plural component pumps, airless sprayers, and hand tools. Knowledge of reading blueprints, work orders, and technical specifications (preferred).

REQUIRED
ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (Company provided). Confined Space Entry certification (Company provided). Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and physical. High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks. Comfortable working at heights or in enclosed spaces. Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to work long shifts, nights, and weekends as needed.
