We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Service Writer to join our team. If you are an excellent communicator, have a passion for the automotive industry, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities Greet and assist customers in person and over the phone to gather information about their service needs. Create service orders, detailing the customer's concerns, desired services, and vehicle information. Communicate repair recommendations, timelines, and costs to customers in a clear and professional manner. Coordinate with technicians to ensure work is completed in a timely manner and according to customer specifications. Provide customers with detailed explanations of service requirements, parts, and repair processes. Track and update customers on the status of their vehicle service, ensuring clear communication throughout. Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and service orders in the system. Upsell additional services and products when appropriate, ensuring customer satisfaction and service revenue goals are met. Handle customer complaints or concerns, offering solutions and ensuring customer satisfaction. Ensure all service documentation is completed and processed accurately, including invoices, warranties, and other paperwork. Maintain a clean, organized service area and ensure all customer vehicles are handled with care.
Requirements:
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (automotive-related courses or training preferred). Proven experience in an automotive service writer or service advisor role (minimum 1 year preferred). Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair processes. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with automotive service management software (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, etc.). Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
