Second shift HVAC/R Mechanic/Engineer/Tech needed for high rise office building! You will work as part of an engineering team at a JLL managed federal portfolio in downtown Cleveland, OH. This is a union position - International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE Local 18)

Anthony J. Celebrezze Federal Building, 1240 E 9th St, Cleveland, OH 44199
Type of Employment:
Full-time w/JLL + IUOE Local 18 benefits
Schedule:
On-site, Monday-Friday 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM with a rotating on-call schedule for after-hour emergencies (must be able to train on 1st shift)

Compensation:
$34.86an hour, wages increase to $36.17 an hour on 6/1/2025 What your day-to-day will look like: Installs, services, maintains and repairs environmental-control systems in residences, department stores, office buildings and other commercial establishments, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, pipefitting and structural layout. Mounts compressor and condenser units on platform floor, using hand tools, follows blueprints or engineering specifications. Fabricates, assembles and installs ductwork and chassis parts, using metalworking tools and welding equipment. Installs evaporator unit chassis or in air-duct system, using hand tools. Other duties may include general maintenance work such as light plumbing, electrical, paint/patch carpentry or other. All HVAC personnel designated to work on, operate, maintain, and (or) repair HVAC equipment or systems shall maintain a minimum of sixteen (16) hours of continuing education annually from a
NATE, HVAC
Excellence, or UA Star recognized provider program.
Physical Work Requirements & Conditions:
Must be available for Call-in work and perform other duties as required. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive Must provide proof of
US Citizenship:

Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
High School diploma or GED equivalent Must possess one (1) or more of the following certifications: a. North American Technician Excellence (N.A.T.E.) HVACR Service Technician Certification b. HVAC Excellence Professional Level Certification c. UA Star HVACR Mastery Certification Must have proven work experience with commercial HVAC service, PM, & repair experience (50 ton units or larger) Must be local to Cleveland, OH metro area (relocation assistance is not available for this role) IUOE Local 18 union member or interest in obtaining membership Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) &/or Building Manag
