Job Description

Overview This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following locations:
NC, NJ, NH, AZ, FL, TX, MI
Responsible for performing independent quality checks and developing methods of measuring the quality and performance of the functional testing processes. Coordinates testing and evaluation activities that identify issues, trends and gaps in existing programs. Provides and independent assessment of the programs, policies and procedures tested and provides feedback to management. Works with the testing lead to create the test plan and strategy. Updates testing metrics on a daily basis and provides results to the Quality Assurance (QA) Lead. May be responsible for leading defect or other testing meetings if the test lead is unavailable. Responsibilities Independent Testing & Validation - Writes test cases based on requirements and user stories provided and performs manual testing as needed. Creates testing plans and test cases and loads them into the appropriate tools. Participates in defect meetings and overall project plan routines to present analysis on current defects as well as re-tested defects. Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies in a timely and detailed manner using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps). Data Analysis - Sources, compiles and interprets data. Analyzes data for accuracy and efficiency, and effectively communicates analysis output. Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure thorough testing coverage. Understand SDLC process of development, testing and delivery and ensure teams comply with it. Participate in requirements reviews and design discussions to provide input from a QA perspective. Help maintain and update QA documentation, processes, and best practices. Ensure compliance with organizational quality standards and industry best practices. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance experience in a Financial Services organization OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in Quality Assurance experience in a Financial Services organization
Preferred Qualifications:
2- 4 years of professional experience in software quality assurance or software testing. Strong understanding of QA methodologies, software development life cycle (SDLC), and testing life cycle (STLC). Experience with testing tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps or similar. Knowledge of Salesforce and web application testing is preferred. Experience in Agile, Scrum, Kanban methodologies. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment. Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
